The Monarch Coal Mining Co. has given $1,000 to the Red Cross fund, bringing the total from that community to $1,568.50.

The latest figures available for the state show that Sheridan County leads the whole state in funds for the Red Cross. It’s probable that when complete returns are in, Sheridan County’s figures will exceed $42,000.
