As a result of meetings of the Retail Merchants association last night and the executive committee of the Retail Clerks this morning, Sheridan today became the only town in Wyoming which has an 8-hour day for women clerks.

Nick Julio was awarded $160 in district court today in his lawsuit against Tom Davis. The suit was the outgrowth of Davis holding stray horses belonging to the plaintiff.

Colonel Harvey Lonabaugh, accompanied by Mrs. Lonabaugh, left last night for Cheyenne where he will be one of the representatives from Sheridan to greet General Pershing on his arrival in that city tomorrow.

George Scales has returned from Buffalo.
