Search for New Sheridan County Airport Manager Underway

During Tuesday’s meeting, the Sheridan County Commission was addressed by J.T. Grainger, Founder and CEO of Sheridan 307 Pilot’s Flight School at the Sheridan County Airport.

Grainger wanted to recommend one individual for consideration by the commission to be the next airport manager.

Grainger also pointed out that Gill is a pilot and passionate aviation enthusiast and knows the organizations in the business park and hanger tenants and understands the history of the airport and the direction it is going in the future.

According to County Administrative Coordinator Skye Evers, current Airport Manager John Stopka will be retiring at the end of the year, and the commissioners have begun the search for his replacement.

The position has been posted as of September 21 on the website for the Northwest Chapter of the American Association of Airport Executives.
