Big Horn rancher Conrad Zullig narrowly escaped being killed yesterday afternoon when he attempted to cross the track on First Street in front of a passenger train.

He was nearly a block away from the crossing when he heard the train coming. He whipped up his team of horses in an attempt to cross the track ahead of the train. One of the horses was knocked down when the train struck the neckyoke.

The Cheese and Cracker club will meet Thursday afternoon with Mrs. Humphreys.

Pupils of Sheridan’s Central School will present the faery play “Eulalia” at the Orpheum on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. About 70 boys and girls from first through sixth grade will participate.
