Sparks from a fire that started in dead grass near the end of North Main Street destroyed five empty train cars on the fort line.
City firefighters were called to the scene, but because the fire was outside city limits, there was little that they could do.
Dr. and Mrs. F.M. Stahl have returned from a six-month trip in their Ford automobile. The couple toured Colorado, Oklahoma and Texas to the Mexican border, traveling between 5,000 and 6,000 miles. They lived in their car the entire time, with the exception of a few nights.
