Fifteen years ago, there were only two soda fountains in the city of Sheridan, and only soft drinks were served.

Ten years ago, there were three soda fountains, and people were becoming acquainted with the ice cream soda. Today, 11 fully-equipped soda fountains are in Sheridan, and the reason for this increase is the “velvet” ice cream supplied by the Sheridan Ice Cream company.

The Golden Rule store is having a sensational sale of new silk dresses tomorrow. Messaline, foulard and taffeta dresses with full flare skirts will be just $5.98.

Sheriff Ole Mossberg is en route to Rawlins, with two prisoners to be delivered to the state penitentiary.
