A Sheridan blacksmith who recently forged a check for $14 pleaded guilty to the charge in district court yesterday.

He was sentenced to a year to 18 months in the penitentiary at Rawlins.

A.E. Zener recently made a trip up the Dome Lake Road with a four-passenger Stanley steamer. He came within a short distance of Dome Lake. He reports that although bad roads and snow drifts were encountered, he experienced no difficulty in making the ascent. He and four passengers went to the top of Red Grade, reaching an elevation of about 7,000 feet. The car is equipped with only a 10-horsepower boiler.

Ross Stone and George Wright made a trip to Dayton today.
