N.A. Pearson has been given the contract for construction of two portable school houses in Sheridan.

One is for the Linden avenue school, and the other will be at the Central school. He submitted the low bid of just over $2,100. Bids were opened at the school board meeting last night.

A.M. Humphrys’ new store has a sale of girls’ wash dresses, for girls 6 to 14 years old, values to $2, now just $1.19 each. New spring coats for girls 6 to 12 years old are specially prices at $1.95 to $3.75.

Mrs. Harry Brown and Mrs. D.W. Jones and son have returned home from a week’s visit at the IXL ranch.

A horse sale will be held at the Burlington stock yards on Thursday, Friday and Saturday this week.
