Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on June 21, 1915.
While temporarily insane, a 28-year-old Sheridan man shot himself in the head yesterday morning. He died yesterday afternoon at the hospital. The man was employed as a painter by Burlington, and the shooting took place in his room in a residence on Broadway.
The gravel plant at Dietz is being run 16 hours a day in an effort to supply gravel for the paving contract in Sheridan. A supplemental supply is being secured from another pit at Dietz, and shipped in on the Burlington railroad.
Mr. and Mrs. Blaine, who came to Sheridan two months ago from Nebraska, left today for Dayton, where they will make their home.
