Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, by reporter Pat Blair as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on July 21, 1915.
Despite excessive rains early in the season, which created difficulties in working in the beet fields, the prospects are excellent for good crops. That’s according to F.M. Wright, who is agricultural superintendent for the Sheridan Sugar company.
Service will start tomorrow morning on extension of the Sheridan Street Railway to the sugar factory. All city cars will carry passengers to the factory between 6:15 and 8 o’clock in the morning and from 4 until 6 in the afternoon.
Among visitors to Sheridan today are C.E. Hill and family, Fred L. Given of Clearmont, and J.P. Songer of Buffalo, who is transacting business here.
