A letter read at last night’s meeting of Sheridan’s Commercial club indicates interest is growing in the Lake DeSmet irrigation project. The letter is from Verner Z. Reed, who writes that there is a lively interest in developing the project, evinced from a number of the larger prospective patrons who would use the water.

The Buffalo Bisons will be in Sheridan this week to play two games of ball with the Sheridan Elks. One game will be tomorrow afternoon, and the second on Sunday afternoon.

Seven applications for gas franchises in Sheridan have been filed with the city council. Action has been deferred until some time next month to give the council ample time to study the matter.
