The president of the Burlington railroad and a number of other high officials spent about an hour in Sheridan today inspecting the sugar factory. The party arrived by special train at 1:30 this afternoon.
The founder of Sheridan, J.D. Loucks, was among speakers at last night’s Commercial club luncheon. Mr. Loucks told of passing through this country in 1880 on the way to Bozeman, Montana, from Iowa. He said he passed through here in June, and the grass was growing luxuriantly in the Big Goose valley where Sheridan now stands, and wild flowers were blooming in great profusion.
Judge C.H. Parmalee left today for Evanston, where he will hold court for several days.
