An employee of the Sheridan Iron Works died at 1 o’clock this afternoon as the result of injuries received from a fall at the sugar factory. 27-year-old Hugh Mark was putting sheet metal siding on the upper part of the lime kilns when he fell. The incident occurred about 11 this forenoon.

The 13th annual banquet of the Sheridan Old Settlers’ club will be held Wednesday evening at the Odd Fellows hall. A program of unusual interest has been arranged for the occasion.

Alice Evans of Bellevue avenue in Sheridan is the possessor of a fine black Shetland pony, which she earned through her efforts in taking subscriptions to the American Home Weekly of St. Paul, Minn. The pony came by express yesterday, and a saddle and bridle were delivered Saturday by parcel post.
