Pete Nelson is in the state hospital in Sheridan today with his skull crushed and his brain badly injured as the result of being struck with a hammer by another man following a quarrel at the injured man’s feed yard on Smith Street this morning. After striking Nelson, the other man went to the police station and gave himself up.
Delmer D. Eldred of Ulm was a business caller in Clearmont on Monday.
Mrs. John Loafman of Clearmont hosted a birthday party Saturday evening in honor of Miss Jennie’s birthday anniversary. Music and conversation were enjoyed during the evening, and delicious refreshments were served at 11 o’clock.
