F.O. Wellwood has received the contract for construction of the barn and implement shed at the experimental farm near Sheridan. The contract price is just over $3,700, and work must be completed in 90 days. All the bids on the house and office building were rejected on account of being too high.

Cash prizes of $1.25 each offered by the Sheridan Commercial club to the boy and girl killing the most flies were won by Robert Murray of the Custer school, who killed 1,500 flies, and Edna Cook of the Coffeen school, who killed 840.

Mrs. C.O. Long of Ranchester underwent a serious operation at the state hospital in Sheridan yesterday.
