The residence of M. Steele, secretary of the Commercial club, was robbed last night some time between midnight and dawn, while the household slept, and the burglar made off with loot valued at $125.

Returns from Buffalo creek today gave democratic candidate Ole Pointer seven votes, and none to the candidates opposing him, widening his lead over his nearest opponent to 10 votes. The returns from Slack are still missing.

W.S. Wittenmeyer of Arvada and S.M. Tenant of Peoria, Ill., were in Sheridan yesterday on their way to Thermopolis where they will spend a week or two at the springs.
