The retail prices on all grades of coal sold in Sheridan were advanced 75 cents per ton today. The new scale of prices goes into effect at once.

Mr. and Mrs. George W. Messick returned today from New York City, where they have been for several weeks selecting goods for the Messick and Golden Rule stores in Sheridan.

October was the coldest and wettest month in Sheridan since the weather bureau started keeping records here. The average temperature for the month was 40 degrees, and total precipitation for the month was almost 3 inches. Normal precipitation for October is just under an inch.
