Enrollment figures taken at the end of the first six weeks in the Sheridan schools show more than 1,600 students enrolled so far this year. The number of boys enrolled is 734, and there are 849 girls.
A.T. Wentz, the Sheridan man who was among the Americans on the British steam Marina when she was torpedoed and sent to the bottom, is reported safe. He is now in Dublin, Ireland, where the American survivors were taken.
Members of the Sheridan Rifle club at a meeting tonight made plans for holding the annual members’ medal match on Nov. 18. The match will be on the rifle range east of the hospital.
