Four cases of the dreaded disease, diphtheria, are known to exist in Sheridan today, and more may develop at any minute. Sixty-five school children have been directly exposed to the disease within the past week.

Superintendent Leroy D. Willey and the Sheridan Commercial club are planning an opening day for the experimental dry farm that’s been established on Dutch creek. Work there has been practically completed for this year.

Sheridan’s Golden Rule store will close out its entire ready-to-wear department to provide larger quarters for the department. An alteration sale starts tomorrow, with suits marked down to $9.98 and party dresses starting at $12.98.
