Now here’s Sheridan Media’s look back in time, to 100 years ago, as published in the Sheridan Enterprise newspaper on Jan. 4, 1917.
Sheridan’s Irvin Grocer has six pounds of dry onions and five pounds of fancy apples for 25 cents. Eagle milk is 20 cents a can, and dark Karo syrup 55 cents for a gallon. The store offers auto delivery.
In view of the fact that many people in and around Sheridan have a car they wish to dispose of, and many are in the market for a good second-hand car, M.J. Rush, manager of the Meyer Garage, has started in the auto exchange business. Phone 52 for particulars.
The Sheridan City Council met Jan. 2 and yesterday to transact all of the city business for the month.
