Judge R.P. Parker has been appointed court commissioner by Judge J.H. Burgess. He took oath of office yesterday. The court commissioner is empowered to perform any duties of a judge in chambers during the judge’s absence.
Mrs. Thomas Kerby left yesterday for Los Angeles, Calif., on account of the condition of her health. She will be gone four or five months.
Victor Moore appears in “The Race” tonight at Sheridan’s Orpheum theater. Admission is 5 and 15 cents.
Mr. and Mrs. Atley Smith entertained at Sunday dinner. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Thorn, Joe Thorn Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. C.R. Thorn.
