Another meeting of the Sheridan Athletic association will be held some time during the coming week to discuss plans for the opening of the gymnasium in the near future. The membership committee has met with splendid success in its effort to secure members.
The trial came up in police court today of the two men charged with assaulting police officer Roberts in the restricted district Sunday. Owing to the large number of people present, court was adjourned to the council chamber, which was crowded to its capacity.
