A petition was filed yesterday with Sheridan’s city clerk by A.E. Bonham asking for a special election to vote on the return to the old council form of government. A canvass of the petition shows that a sufficient number of signers have been secured to make the election necessary.

An army recruiting officer is in Sheridan to secure young men who are willing to enter the service of their country. According to the officer, enlistment is for one year.

Charles Waegele has one of the largest swine herds in Sheridan County at his ranch on Ucross. The porkers, nearly all spring shoats, number 400.
