Sen. John B. Kendrick will arrive in Sheridan this evening on Engine 41, which is several hours late. It isn’t known how long the Senator will be here, but the date of the special session of Congress has been changed from April 16 to April 2.
Burglars tunneled through a 20-inch brick wall into a vault in the office of the Sheridan Iron Works last night, and secured about $50 in cash and $40 worth of stamps.
Ditches are being cut through accumulations of ice along the curbs, so that the drainage of the streets will not be interrupted. All of the storm sewers are being thawed out.
The Crescent Cafe is now open for business in the new Perkins building.
