Eighteen young men, Sheridan’s first contingent to answer the call of the country, are on their way to San Francisco to enter the naval training station. More than 2,000 people joined in the mighty cheer that arose as the train pulled out.

Mrs. Harold Rychard entertained a congenial company at dinner last night. A lovely Easter lily graced the center of the table, while at each place Easter nut baskets were used as favors.

A streetcar knocked a large hole in the east end of the car barn last night when the man who was handling it lost control, allowing the car to run over the end of the track into the wall.

Plans are well under way for the organization of a company of home guard from the membership of the Sheridan Elks lodge.
