Plans were formulated this morning at a meeting of the county Council of National Defense for obtaining complete information concerning the resources of the farmers of Sheridan County. The meeting was held at the office of Prof. J.J. Early, who is chairman of the council.
The commission form of city government was retained by a majority vote of 190, and the cemetery bond issue was carried by a majority of 404. Ward 1, in which the lightest vote in the city was cast, was the only Sheridan ward that went in favor of returning to the council form of government.
The street department is making arrangements to concrete the approaches to the Alger avenue bridge. The work will be done within a few days.
