Sheridan’s Mayor Church has named Col. C.Z.A. Zander as chairman of a committee to examine applicants who desire to enter the officers reserve corps training camp at Fort Riley. The camp will open May 8.
Mrs. L.E. Onken died at 3 o’clock this afternoon following an illness of five weeks from typhoid fever. The disease was contracted while she was on a southern trip with her husband. He succumbed to the same malady two weeks ago.
Fred Jensen of the Motor Car Machine company in Sheridan has completed a farm tractor capable of developing at least 14 horse power on a drawbar. He has been working on the machine for several months. The tractor is a converted automobile.
