M. Steele, secretary of the Commercial club since the organization started a little more than four years ago, has tendered his resignation. The resignation will become effective on May 10, the date of the annual meeting.

The Sheridan banks received telegrams today from Secretary of the Treasury W.G. McAdoo, asking the banks’ cooperation in the sale of the $2 billion bond issue, known as the Liberty Bonds. The bonds may be obtained in denominations of $100 and upwards, and bear interest at the rate of 3 ½ percent.

Women’s silk gloves, in black, white, tan and gray, regularly 98 cents, are on sale now for 75 cents at Reeds.
