The work of raising Sheridan’s portion for the reconstruction and equipment of the Cathedral Home for children at Laramie was started yesterday by the local committee. The committee is headed by Judge Parmelee. The amount to be raised in the entire state is $31,000.

William H. Masters, Thomas A. Hanon and Carl A. Simmons have enlisted in the Aviation Corps, William Clark in the Cavalry and George R. Caldwell in the Engineer Corps. All of the men left Sheridan at noon today.

Stevens, Fryberger & Co., Sheridan’s New York store, will have a special sale of handsome cut glass on Saturday in the Bargain Basement. Oval footed dessert dishes will be $1.69 each. Other specials include oval footed celery dishes for $1.59, and 7-inch berry bowls for 98 cents.
