Sheridan’s latest recruits include Thad B. Hale, John L. Boydler, Morris Buckholder and Joshua C. Maxwell, all in the cavalry. They left Sheridan on May 10.

Peter Kooi and E.E. Lonabaugh, formerly of the Kooi Coal Co., have incorporated under the style of the Kooi Coal Co. Inc. The new company is capitalized at $1 million.
