Hundreds of people today enjoyed the parade, picnic and general celebration of the Fourth of July as staged in the City Park and along the streets leading thereto. The address of the day was made by the Honorable R.P. Parker.

The committee in charge of today’s celebration in the City Park wish to publicly express their appreciation of the splendid proofs of patriotism given in time and money by the Basket Grocery, Lindsay-Walker Co., Mrs. Foy, the Boy Scouts, the Carpenters Union and T.W. Vickers.
