Major H.E. Lonabaugh needs 13 more men to bring Company D of the National Guard to the full strength of 150, and could find room for about 25. If that number is reached, there may be no necessity to draft a single man from Sheridan County on this call.

The first week of the Sheridan Enterprise campaign for “Our Boys in France Tobacco Fund” realized subscriptions amounting to $65.25. That’s enough to keep 261 soldiers in tobacco for a week.

The whistle will be used only to direct people to discontinue the use of water, after and up to the watering hours starting at 4 p.m. and ending at 8:30 p.m.
