The Labor Day celebration at the Monarch-Carneyville Union Grounds today was a marked success. All day long, happy crowds thronged the grounds, enjoying a unique outing in the perfect weather. The Knights of Pythias won the afternoon ball game 7 to 5 over the Baby Dolls of Carneyville.
Forty or more local entertainers are working day and night rehearsing the many songs, dances and vaudeville stunts which make up the Elks’ big musical production, “A Night in a Caberet.”
Mrs. N. Crocker of Gillette, who has been in Sheridan receiving treatments at the hospital, was discharged today. She will remain here for a week before going to her home.
