The banquet tonight in honor of the national army men went off with a bang. Toastmaster Canfield brought on the entertainers, who were encored vigorously and repeatedly, and George Brown fairly outdid himself on the dinner, which featured a luscious half chicken for each plate.
The Sheridan High School team inaugurated the local football season this afternoon at City Park, defeating Buffalo High School by a score of 96 to zero, which is ghe largest total of points ever amassed by a team representing Sheridan High School.
Attendance in the Red Cross work room last week, exclusive of that from the school, was 94, as compared with 85 in the previous week.
