With a 73 percent vote turnout, the people of Sheridan elected M.B. Camplin mayor in yesterday’s elections. Harry Loucks and W.G. Birkhaeuser were elected city commissioners.
Ed Trembath, employed at the Acme mine, was seriously injured yesterday afternoon. He was brought into the State Hospital in Sheridan by Dr. Crane and was operated on. By 2 o’clock this afternoon, Dr. Crane reported his chances for recovery to be good.
Another miner, Charley Shore, was injured last night at the Dietz No. 5 mine. He sustained severe spinal injuries when he was apparently crushed beneath the cage. At 2:30 this afternoon, his recovery was reported as doubtful..
