A Look Back in Time: Nov. 28, 1917

Theodore Diers, federal food administrator, met with the members of the Retail Grocers Association of Sheridan last evening. The grocers pledged their patriotic support for the plans of the food administration.

A grand opening dance will be held tonight at the new dance hall at Ranchester. Music will be by Sherrard’s orchestra. Tickets are $1, free for the ladies, and there will be turkey sandwiches.

Mr. and Mrs. Ed Grover of Story were shopping in Sheridan on Saturday. John Smith and Homer Peters of Story went to Sheridan Monday for a load of freight for the Peters store.

The Bon Ton Cafe will serve Thanksgiving dinner from 11:30 to 4 p.m tomorrow.
