Navy Recruiting Officer Wilson arrived in Sheridan this afternoon to examine applicants for the Navy. He will remain here until Saturday and will have his office in the recruiting office at City Hall.

Captain Goelet Gallatin left last evening on Engine 41 for Camp Lewis, American Lake. Capt. Gallatin received one of the highest commissions awarded at the officers’ training camp at the Presidio, San Francisco, and will probably act as instructor to the drafted men at Camp Lewis.

Big fruit cakes in the boxes, suitable for mailing and big enough for Christmas dinner, will be $1.32 tomorrow at the Basket Store in Sheridan. Cranberries will be 19 cents a quart.
