One hundred fifty pair of men’s oxfords, $10 grades in black and tan, are $4.45 at Garrison Keene Shoe Co.

Mrs. Peter Kooi and the misses Vera and Doris Kooi have instructed the school children at the town of Kooi in the art of knitting. Each child is now turning out most creditable looking squares for the forming of quilts which will be turned over to the Belgian Relief Committee.

Little Miss Jean Churchill, young daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Churchill, had seven of her small friends in to spend the afternoon today in honor of her birthday.

John Peters of Ranchester was in Sheridan yesterday afternoon. He reported that the travel conditions in that vicinity are very bad.
