The Red Cross box social held recently at the McCormick schoolhouse was well attended. Nearly all the boxes were trimmed artistically with the patriotic colors, and total sales amounted to $52.50, which will be handed to the Red Cross Chapter of Sheridan County.
The Custer school has completed its payments on its Liberty bond of the second issue, thereby being the first school in Sheridan to finish payments on bonds bought in the last issue.
Leo Doyle, son of B.J. Doyle of Sheridan, has joined the 469th Railway Engineers. He left today for Jefferson Barracks, Missouri.
