Carl Griffen, son of Mr. and Mrs. W.G. Griffen, left yesterday afternoon on No. 41 for Berkeley, Calif., to report for duty.

Twelve pounds of potatoes will be 12 cents tomorrow at the Basket Store.

Fresh homegrown carnations are 50 cents a dozen today at L.M. Best Floral Company.

Tom Brown, who came to Sheridan about three weeks ago from St. Joseph, Mo., was taken to the county pest house this morning because he has smallpox. Dr. Seiby is attending him.

Mrs. Mildred Wheeler entertained informally at luncheon yesterday afternoon at her residence on South Main street.
