The United Mine Workers locals and other union organizations in Sheridan will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the eight-hour working day on April 1. Six big miners’ locals will participate, those being Dietz, Carneyville, Model, Acme, Monarch and Kooi.
Dr. L.D. Osborn, director of extension work in the University of Colorado, spoke concerning community life and families at the first meeting of the Home Service League under the Red Cross in Sheridan last evening.
“Pay Me,” the dramatic five-reel feature offering of Jewel Productions, will begin its engagement at Sheridan’s Gem theater today.
