Sheridan County has subscribed nearly $26,500 to War Savings Stamps, which is 8.2 percent of its total quota of $320,000.

John Sweeney, whose home is said to be at Ulm, was run down by a freight train yesterday east of Sheridan. He died about an hour later from his injuries.

The local board received a telegram from Cheyenne today stating that the government wants stock-raisers and boilermakers at once.

The Linden Auditorium was filled with capacity last night for the high school commencement exercises of the Class of 1918. Over 100 people were forced to stand during the program due to lack of seating.
