A petition for an increase in the rates of business telephones in Sheridan was forwarded to the Wyoming Public Service commission today. The petition contains the signatures of between 97 and 98 percent of all the subscribers affected.
A quarrel which is alleged to have arisen over a girl culminated in the shooting of Frank Lumbardo about 7 o’clock last night in Carneyville. The shooter, Joe Varacilli, was taken into custody by Sheriff Mossberg and is now in the county jail pending further developments.
Sheridan is to have a total enrollment of 61 teachers in the schools next year. All but three of the teachers have been secured.
