Total subscriptions from Sheridan county for the Red Cross, compiled at noon today, exceeded $33,000. The total was nearly half again as much as was asked.
A new draft ruling to compel all men of draft age to be usefully engaged or go to war isn’t expected to affect many Sheridan county men. The opinion is that there aren’t many men of draft age here that aren’t usefully employed.
Veterans of the Grand Army of the Republic will decorate the graves of their departed comrades at Mount Hope cemetery on Memorial day next Thursday, following a parade and patriotic services at the cemetery. Mayor M.B. Camplin will deliver the address of the day.
