A Look Back in Time: June 11, 1918

Mrs. Emma W. Cole, age 50 years, died of blood poisoning at the hospital here at 1:30 o’clock this morning. The blood poisoning set in some time ago after Mrs. Cole removed a splinter from her finger with a pin.

The local board received a telegram from the state board in Cheyenne stating that Sheridan is to send 25 men to Logan, Utah, to take a three-months’ special course in mechanical lines.

The county clerk yesterday granted a marriage license to Charles B. Bales and Mrs. Dorene McDowell.

Both Little and Big Goose creeks are still rising due to the hot weather of the last few days.
