Claude Quinn, 21, is the second of Sheridan county’s sons to be killed in action in France. The war department today notified his mother, Mrs. William Z. Fauver of 201 North Sheridan avenue, of her son’s heroic sacrifice.
Pledges for War Savings Stamps are expected in a single day’s campaign which will be carried on throughout Sheridan county on June 28.
A plan for a big July 4 celebration at the fair grounds in Sheridan county has been abandoned in favor of community visiting and a big celebration in front of city hall in the evening. A community visiting party will leave the city in the morning and will visit the communities in Sheridan county.
