A Look Back in Time: Sept. 3, 1918

Fifteen men from Sheridan county and four from outside draft boards entrained on No. 41 this afternoon for Camp Lewis, Wash. The customary demonstration was accorded the new soldiers.

County Agent Thomas and W.A. Anderson, secretary of the Commercial Club, are now preparing Sheridan county’s exhibit for the state fair, which is to be held at Douglas Sept. 9 through 14.

The millinery establishment heretofore owned by Marie Looman has been purchased by Lillian E. Johnson from Chicago, Ill. The firm will be known as Looman Millinery, and will continue business at the same location, 9 North Main street.
