Sheridan saved many gallons of gasoline today through a general observance of a voluntary ruling applied by Fuel Administrator Garfield for a suspension of Sunday autoing for pleasure. However, the observance came as a misunderstanding of the administrator’s request. The ruling applied only to states east of the Mississippi river.
It is generally believed that the brewery in Sheridan will be forced to close or limit output to production of whiskey or soft drinks after Dec. 1. Food Administrator Herbert Hoover in Washington has issued a ruling prohibiting manufacture of beer in the U.S. after that date.
Sheridan was visited by a drizzling rain tonight.
