A Look Back in Time: Sept. 15, 1918

Charles Percy Chase, a brakeman who lived in Sheridan, was killed this morning in a collision between an engine drawing two waycars and a train standing on the main line of the Burlington in Gillette. Mr. Chase was riding in one of the waycars.

Sheridan county’s exhibit cleaned up a considerable sum in premiums at the state fair this year, in spite of obstructions that compelled the dumping of some of the exhibit along the road on the way to the fair in Douglas.

Hiram at the City Feed Yards has horses, harness, saddles, wagons, a tent, ice box, cook stove, nine heating stoves and more for sale or trade.
