Mrs. Mabel Chism, wife of a Sheridan soldier now at Camp Lewis, died at the hospital last night following an operation. She was 31 years old and leaves eight young children.

John Findahl, a Sheridan county man, has been arrested for the fourth time on allegations that he unlawfully closed and otherwise interfered with a headgate of the Big Goose and Beaver Ditch Company where the company takes water out of Big Rapid creek.

Gardens in Sheridan have been harvested in fear of a killing frost.

Many of the women of Sheridan are busily occupied in collecting used clothes for the Belgians.

Frank Clabaugh of Arvada is in Sheridan on business.
